MOVILIZACION NACIONAL AGRARIA Y POPULAR

In Southwestern Colombia, in the departament of Cauca, municipality of Santander de Qulichao, in the cemetery of the town of Mondomo, a group of citizens, indigenous, and Afro-Colombians, are peacefully exercising their constitutional rights in the in the framework of the National Day of Agrarian and Popular Protest.
They continue to be repressed by the Colombian Special Armed Forces of
the Anti-Guerrilla and Riot police, who from helicopters are launching tear gas, explosives, rubber bullets and firearms against the civilians gathered, with an undetermined number of wounded.
As we speak, it has been confirmed that the peasant- farmer José EduardoTombe was wounded by an explosive launched by the Military Police, which seriously injured one of his hands.
The army and police, until the present have prevent the entrance of a medical brigade and have fired upon a medical brigade that is attending one of the injured.
The site continues to be indiscriminately attacked where unarmed civilians from the municipalities Miranda, Corinto, Caloto, Jambalo, Toribio y Caldono are concentrated.
